STEM Camp Referral Program for Camper Families

the STEM Camp referral program makes it easy for you to refer talented individuals to work at STEM Camp.

Each year, STEM Camp is on the lookout for enthusiastic and talented individuals to help us create an unforgettable summer camp experience and make a difference in our campers’ lives. Do you think you know someone who could make an awesome addition to our team?

More specifically, do you know someone who:

  • Is passionate about science, technology, engineering and math and loves working with kids?
  • Has an enthusiastic, patient and upbeat attitude?
  • Is a great organiser, team worker and collaborator?
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills?
  • Has a high school diploma or is enrolled in post secondary studies?
  • Is looking for a summer job?

If you answered “YES!” then please help us bring even more fun and learning to the STEM Camp experience by referring a bright individual in your social circle (or your family!) to work at STEM Camp.  You’ll be helping to connect our campers (kids aged 5-13) to vibrant and trustworthy staff members. Together, they will build memories (and job experience) that will serve them for a lifetime.

And that’s not all…as a thank you for each successful referral you make, you’ll earn a $50 credit towards your camper’s registration fee for NEXT summer!

How to Refer Someone to Work at STEM Camp

  2. The person you refer will then receive an email from STEM Camp, letting them know that you think they’d be a great fit, and inviting them to apply.
  3. For every person you refer who gets hired and works for the entire duration of their employment contract, you’ll earn rewards.

Terms and Conditions: The referred individual must be hired and successfully complete their summer camp employment contract for you to qualify for the $50 STEM Camp referral reward credit.

STEM Camp Referral Program Example for Parents & Guardians of Current Campers

Susan is the mother of Becky and David, who are two STEM Camp campers, aged 6 and 8. Susan believes that her neighbour, Debra, an undergraduate student studying robotics, would be an amazing addition to the STEM Camp team. So, Susan fills out the referral form and provides Debra’s name and email address.

STEM Camp then sends Debra an automated email, alerting her to Susan’s referral and inviting her to apply.

Debra applies and gets hired on as a Program Coordinator for the summer 2025 season at STEM Camp. Debra completes her employment contract by working the full summer season.

As a thank you for the successful referral, Susan then receives a credit that she can use towards STEM Camp enrolment for her kids, Becky and David, for the 2026 summer season.

STEM Camp Referral Program FAQs

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about the STEM Camp referral program.

To respect the privacy of our applicants, we will only be communicating directly with them.

If you have successfully referred someone, we’ll be contacting you in the fall to advise about credit(s) you have earned.

The referral program is dependent on the person you referred completing their full contract, and since STEM Camp runs throughout the summer (ending in August), we need to wait until the STEM Camp season is over before we can tally the number of successful referrals and perform outreach to thank the referrers.

Nope! While the majority of our staff members tend to be individuals who are in the early stages of their careers, we are always on the lookout for trustworthy individuals who are passionate about teaching, youth, and STEM subjects.

While an interest and background in STEM can certainly set an applicant apart, equally important is their passion for safety, teaching, and creating an amazing experience for our campers, parents and staff members alike.

YES! As long as the people you refer all meet the referral program criteria (i.e. they are successfully hired and complete their employment contract), then you’ll earn credit.

Unfortunately, we cannot transfer credits between individuals/families at this time.
