Canada's Sports Hall of Fame + STEM Camp

STEM is everywhere, including sports! What makes a ball roll? What makes a shuttle fly? What makes a hula….hula?

STEM Camp was thrilled to partner with Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2021 to explore the relationship between STEM and sports at 45 locations across Ontario.

The launch of CSHOF’s virtual scavenger hunt program, highlighting innovation in sport, gave campers an up close look at how science, technology, engineering and math have contributed to the success of Canada’s best athletes.  Best of all, Hall of Fame athletes recorded videos that described their accomplishments, the tools they used to compete and their experiences using them. The experience was augmented with a virtual tour of the galleries and prepared STEM activities by STEM Camp that highlight the importance of STEM in sport.
