Summer Camps Need Your Help

Dear Parents,

Summer camps in Ontario need your help!

As you are probably aware by now, COVID-19 has decimated not just STEM Camp, but many camps all across Canada. In the year 2021, we may be looking at a year where the camp choices will be sparse and insufficient for everyone’s needs. The Canadian Camping Association is forecasting as many as 1,000 summer camps to not survive the impact of COVID-19.

The Ontario Camps Association in conjunction with the Canadian Camping Association is seeking immediate support from parents to participate in an active letter campaign for Government financial assistance by contacting Minister of Finance, Bill Morneau. With your help, camps could get the proper funding to survive this disaster so that children for another 100 years can experience the joy of summer camp.

We have attached the letter in both a Microsoft Word format and PDF. All you have to do is sign it and send it to Minister Morneau’s email address Bill.Morneau@parl.gc.ca.

All camps need your support and with a strong collective voice, we will be heard!

Thank you so much for everyone’s support.

Sincerely

Paul DeJong, Community Relations Director
