STEM Camp’s free March Break Minecraftpalooza event was a tremendous success! We were so proud of the creations our campers made! Take a look at just a few of the amazing creations they built, individually and together. Below, our Moderators also share their experience (we think they had as much fun as the campers!).

What Our Moderators Had to Say
STEM Camp had moderators in the builds to see what all the campers were building, and of course to make sure that everyone was following the rules. They had as much fun as our campers! Here is what a few of them had to say about the experience.
“It was really interesting to say the least to see the campers’ designs and creations. They are all very talented in building and creating things out of redstone (as an example). I remember a significant moment where one camper created a DJ set and juke box with redstone. He basically had a whole party with fireworks for 10-15 minutes on the server, which was really a sight to see!”

“This week was absolutely AWESOME! The players had so much positive energy and creativity and I’m sure they had a BLAST!”

“It was a learning opportunity for all as many players were teaching each other, and some players were teaching us as well! Some were working independently, and some were working collaboratively. However, my favourite memory ran over the course of a few days. There was one specific build that had many players working on it, but first started with only one player. Cr33p3rKing had started to create his own lab and was very creative. During his time of enlarging his lab, many other players wanted to add their ideas as well. There were so many children that worked on that one lab collaboratively and each person was able to add their own touch. There were many cool things that they created as a collective, such as the laser that made the players invisible, unique animals that were caged, secret rooms, libraries, and so much more. They were sad on Friday when the event ended and they couldn’t keep working on their lab! I would highly recommend the event, and summer camp at STEM Camp for all these great builders to continue with the fun!”

“Kids are so imaginative and capable when we give them the space to play. Seeing them use blocks and redstone in ways even I couldn’t think of while teaching each other those skills was truly amazing. A specific time that stands out to me was when a group of 5-10 kids mined out a cave to extend the lab that one camper had built. The campers were so awesome, I hardly had to moderate at all, and had the pleasure of spending the majority of my time helping create massive imaginative builds with the kids.”

Do we ever have the summer camps for you! Yes – that’s right – camps: while we have 2 weeks themed as Minecraft, every single camp week features fun Minecraft activities just like those our campers got to enjoy during Minecraftpalooza! We’d love to see these participants back for camp this summer – we can’t wait to see what they’ll build next!
