Who are we?

Mollie Berge


Mollie Berge, Administrative Assistant, has been working at STEM Camp since February of 2017. Mollie absolutely loves STEM Camp and everything it aspires to accomplish!

Mollie is responsible for several different things around the office including daily communications and various administrative tasks.

She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University and hopes to work in the field of policing when she graduates.


Janill Rego

Janill Rego, Program Coordinator, is a graduate of the Business Marketing program from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. Janill has “the pulse of STEM Camp” as the person in the office that knows everything about everything! Janill joined STEM Camp in January, 2016 and quickly became the person that parents could rely on to provide every answer they need to help them through the enrolment process.

Beyond customer service, Janill’s responsibilities include communicating with host location personnel, key funders, government contacts and assisting with the counsellor hiring and training process.


Leanne Ford


Leanne Ford, Education Director, has 7 years of experience as a full time teacher in elementary schools with the Upper Grand District School Board and the Thames Valley District School Boards in Ontario. A graduate of Guelph University as well as Nipissing University, Leanne left teaching to pursue her passion of helping people through chiropractic methods and received her Doctor of Chiropractic in 2008.

Leanne joined STEM Camp as Education Director in 2014 and brings all her educational experience to the position as she continually creates wonderful experiences for STEM campers through her themed activities in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics areas of study. Leanne is always looking for the best ways to excite youth through her activities and employs a team of research students to look for the latest and greatest ideas that she can turn into that “one impactful activity” that can fire an imagination.


Paul De Jong

Paul De Jong, Community Relations Director, has over 25 years of experience in the ‘for profit’ and ‘not-for-profit’ sectors. Paul has been a Manager with Oxford Source for Sports for 9 years; Boys and Girls Club Brantford for 5 years and an Import Specialist & Manager with Parkview Customs Brokerage Ltd. for 15 years. Paul is a graduate of Fanshawe College’s Business Administration program and has multiple certifications in the areas of cash flow, internal auditing and leadership programs.

Paul is a high-energy Manager with an extensive background in administration, logistics, leadership, training, and customer service within the multiple customer service industries. Paul is a confident and creative decision maker who believes in mentoring and encouraging employees to achieve company objectives. Paul’s personal philosophy, which he instills into the organizational environment, is to… “make a difference every day!”


Celine Beaudoin

Celine Beaudoin, Francophone Program Director, is a person of many interests, which have lead to a diversified professional life, including several years working with the Francophone educational system. Her professional life has allowed her to travel extensively throughout Quebec and Ontario.Celine has a strong background in customer service, sales, and administration. She pursued studies in creative writing, copywriting, and Media and Communication. Another asset Celine brings is her ability to professionally translate all written and promotional materials.

She is passionate about giving kids the right tools and opportunities to help them grow and build a better world. She believes that we need to give children a strong base in order to allow them to develop their full potential. Celine’s mandate is to implement and promote French and Bilingual STEM Camps throughout the provinces.


Ron Cougler

Ron Cougler, Executive Director, spent 30 years as a High School Teacher and Department Head in six secondary schools across Ontario, teaching all grade levels from 9 to OAC, as well as all levels of student ability.  He holds a Principal’s Certificate with the Ontario Ministry of Education and created his own company, Classroom Puzzlers, which developed Teacher Educational Resource Packages for schools across Canada.  Ron has given workshops to teachers across Canada from Quebec to British Columbia.

Ron is very excited about the current growth of STEM Camp in Ontario, and about plans for STEM Camp expansion in 2018.



Kevin Cougler

Kevin Cougler, CEO and Founder, has been an entrepreneur for over 20 years in the technology and engineering fields and the Executive Director of Canadian-based charity, Partners In Research (PIR), in London, Ontario until 2015. While at PIR Kevin was responsible for, or founded, such educational programs as Virtual Researcher On Call (VROC), This Week In Science (Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Education podcasts, Research Me, Sanofi BioGenius Challenge Canada and Live Event. Kevin’s professional not for profit career has been dedicated to inspiring youth in the subject areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics through these initiatives.

In 2013 Kevin founded STEM Camp in two locations in Ontario as a pilot project. By the summer of 2017, STEM Camp was offered in 46 locations across Ontario serving 8,402 youth and doubling in capacity each year. Kevin’s ultimate goal is to bring the STEM Camp to as many youth across Canada as possible. An avid triathlete/duathlete, Kevin’s personal motto is “Failure is not an option” and brings that level of passion and dedication to his STEM Camp dream.
