Chatham Summer Camp this year represents the first year that STEM Camp will be offering its program in the Chatham-Kent region.
We wish to extend our appreciation to the following groups and individuals in the Chatham area as a result.
- McNaughton Public School has agreed to act as host site for six weeks and is a fantastic place for the Chatham Summer Camp to call home
- Kris Davis from the Lambton Kent District School Board has been a phenomenal help in securing locations in Chatham and Sarnia as well as helping to spread the word about STEM Camp’s Chatham Summer Camp during our inaugural year in this area
- The Chatham Youth Soccer Association has been wonderful to work with in establishing a relationship whereby the word is spread about Chatham Summer Camp and we are pleased to sponsor a team this coming summer
- Businesses that have agreed to take our flyers in their stores for distribution and place posters in their store window
Members of the local business community are very welcome to come to STEM Camp and talk to the campers about how their business uses STEM in their day to day operations. Businesses that relate to agriculture, energy and automotive are of particular interest as these relate directly to activities and experiments campers will be conducting. If you are interested in coming to STEM Camp as a guest this summer you would be very welcome. Please contact our office for details regarding proper steps to take to ensure this can take place.
STEM Camp will certainly be a huge success this year with the help of organizations and people in your community. As a result, children in the Chatham-Kent region will be enjoying activities in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields very soon and taking their first step toward possible careers in these important areas!
Thank you to all our early supporters of this important not for profit endeavour!
