Our Minecrafters came out in droves to make our 2025 Minecraftpalooza event the biggest yet! During this free week of Minecraft fun hosted by STEM Camp, campers had daily challenges – and wow – did they ever deliver!
Just like at STEM Camp, we gave them a challenge, but not the way to solve the problem. Why? Because when campers are given the tools they need, knowledge of how to use them, and then are allowed to let their imaginations and problem solving skills lead the way – what they come up with is nothing short of amazing!
Check out this year’s challenges, followed by some of the incredible builds our campers created.
Monday's Challenge: Candyland Kingdom šš°š«
Make a world entirely out of candy and desserts! Think chocolate rivers, gumdrop trees, licorice roller coasters, ice cream castles, marshmallow bridges, cake mountains, candy-powered redstone machines or chocolate factoriesā¦the options are endless, and delicious!Ā Ā
Tuesday's Challenge: LEGO Space Colony šš
Build an out-of-this-world LEGO space colony! Get out those Minecraft bricks and build a futuristic LEGO-style space station, alien planet, moon or Mars based with cool habitats! Letās see your LEGO rockets, space rovers, alien creatures, and space bases! Remember to use bright, LEGO-like colours and blocky designs for this awesome, LEGO-inspired intergalactic build!
Wednesday's Challenge: Ultimate Dream Vacation Resort šļøš¢šæ
Design the coolest, most imaginative vacation destination! Wild roller coasters, water slides, theme park rides, beach resorts with secret underwater hotels, sky islands with floating pools and zip lines, snowy ski resorts with redstone-powered ski lifts – whatever your dream vacations are, make them a reality with this Minecraftpalooza challenge.Ā Ā
Thursday's Challenge: LEGO Underwater World šš
Build a LEGO Atlantis-style underwater kingdom! You could create LEGO coral reefs, mermaid castles, submarines, and sea creatures! What about hidden treasure caves and an underwater research lab, or redstone-powered submarines and moving parts. Weāre taking the fun into the seas for this challenge!
Friday's Challenge: Time Travelerās World ā³š°š
Build different parts of a city based on different time periodsāpast, present, and future! Get out your time machines, weāre going to create an amazing world from all of time! Look to the past, and build castles, ancient pyramids, medieval villages, or dinosaurs. For the present, you could create modern skyscrapers, theme parks, or sports stadiums. Imagine what the future world could be, and create things like floating space stations, robot cities, or even underwater bases. Use your imagination and join us on this journey through time!
